Biomecanics resulted from a joint research project between Spanish shoe-maker Garvalin and the Biomecanica Institute of Valencia. Biomecanics shoes are strong, durable but also light, flexible and breathable.

Biogateo is recommended for babies of 9 to 24 months in their crawling stage and first steps. Biogateo provides conditions similar to those of walking barefoot in uncontrolled environments when footwear is necessary, providing the security they need without losing stimuli.
